Corpus Christi, Texas-based Christus Spohn Health System partnered with Sacramento, Calif.-based Surgical Affiliates.
Here are three insights:
1. The partnership was created to increase orthopedic services at the health system's Christus Spohn Hospital South and Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline, both in Corpus Christi.
2. Both hospitals will now offer 24/7 orthopedic services for patients in the emergency department. Additional services will also be added for in-house orthopedic emergencies and inpatient orthopedic consultations.
3. Surgical Affiliates will also staff a follow-up clinical at both hospitals to provide post-discharge care to patients.
