Connecticut ASC launches state's 1st outpatient total joint replacement program: 3 insights

The Specialty Surgical Center of Connecticut in Stamford started the first outpatient total joint replacement program in the state, according to the Stamford Patch.

Here are three things to know:

1. The comprehensive program includes total hip, knee and shoulder replacement procedures.

2. The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accredited the center.

3. The Specialty Surgical Center of Connecticut employs eight orthopedic surgeons.
