Rush plans $473M outpatient center focused on neurological care: 3 things to know

Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center submitted plans for a new outpatient center near the west side of Chicago.

Here are three things to know:

1. The 11-story, 530,00-square-foot outpatient center will focus on neurological and cancer care. It will be designed around diagnostic and treatment needs of patients who undergo complex medical care.

2. Rush estimates the new outpatient center will cost $473 million and anticipates it will be completed in 2022. Construction is set to begin in spring 2019.

3. The new outpatient center will house radiation therapy, infusion therapy, integrative medicine, imaging and other programs.
