H. Lynn Massingale, MD, joined the board of directors for Phoenix-based The CORE Institute and its management firm, Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company.

Dr. Massingale is co-founder and chairman of TeamHealth, a multi-billion-dollar corporation with 20,000 affiliated physicians providing services across the U.S. He spent 30 years as CEO, until 2009, leading mergers of emergency physician groups and sparking organic growth.
During his tenure, the company grew from a $70 million company in 1995 to $1 billion in 2005; recent figures place TeamHealth as a $4 billion company now.
The CORE Institute aims to provide excellence in orthopedic care. The practice has a strong foundation in research, payer reform initiatives and building systems-based quality programs to drive value in musculoskeletal care.
