25 best states to practice

Practice Management

Not everyone is driven to work in big cities and similarly not all physicians are ready to practice in the suburbs.

Medscape surveyed physicians to determine the best and work states to practice in its Best & Worst Places to Practice 2018: Happiness in Work and Home Life report. The survey compared average population lifespan, cost of living, higher education levels, median earnings, unemployment, tax burden, public health rates and personal well-being.
