10 best & worst states for annual physician wages

A WalletHub report investigated which states are the best and worst for physicians, considering 16 key metrics.

One metric assessed the average annual wage for physicians, adjusted for cost of living.

Here are the five states that topped the list with highest wages:

1. Mississippi

2. South Dakota

3. Iowa

4. Georgia

5. Tennessee

And here are the five lowest states:

47. Oregon

48. California

49. New York

50. Hawaii

51. District of Columbia
