On March 1, OrthoExpress will open the first clinic of its kind in the Birmingham, Ala. area. OrthoExpress plans to open similar facilities in five other central Ala. markets, AL.com reports.
Here are three things to know:
1. The clinic will be a free-standing, independent orthopedic urgent care facility in Chelsea in the former Lemak Health building near U.S. 280.
2. OrthoExpress will offer urgent care for orthopedic injuries such as fractures, dislocations and sprains. It will serve patients from Birmingham, Chelsea, Childersburg, Columbiana, Leeds, Pell City, Sylacauga and parts of Coosa and St. Clair County.
3. The clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It aims to hire more support staff later this year.
