Three major companies are banding together to create a new healthcare company.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. On Jan. 30, Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway and JPMorgan revealed a new healthcare company focused on boosting employee satisfaction and decreasing costs.

 

2. To begin, the new healthcare company will hone in on technology solutions with the aim of increasing transparency and quality of care.

 

3. The three companies encompass 500,000-plus employees across the country.

 

4. The new company will not initially focus on making profits, but rather on improving the healthcare experience.

 

5. JPMorgan represents the largest U.S. bank and Berkshire Hathaway is the third-largest public company in the world.
