Prashant Sinha, MD, was named the chief of surgery at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, according to India New England News.
Here are five observations:
1. As chief of surgery, Dr. Sinha is responsible for developing new programs, increasing ambulatory services and managing surgical staff. He will also manage the hospital’s surgical residency training.
2. Dr. Sinha is an associate professor in the department of surgery at NYU Langone Hospital School of Medicine in New York City.
3. Dr. Sinha has expertise in minimally invasive surgery and advanced laparoscopy to treat disease of the gastrointestinal tract.
4. Prior to earning his medical degree, Dr. Sinha served as COO of Cogniant, a company involved in medical, financial and mobile web development.
5. Dr. Sinha earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City and later completed his residency at New York Presbyterian Medical Center in New York
City.
