Cleveland Clinic partners with Boston Children's Hospital: 4 things to know

The Cleveland Clinic is partnering with Boston Children's Hospital to provide complex adult and pediatric heart services to employers, according to Cleveland.com.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Boston Children's Hospital is now a member of Cleveland Clinic's care network. The children's hospital will take lead on specialized pediatric care within that network.

 

2. Under the partnership, patients are diagnosed and then sent to whichever facility in the system can best treat them. The Cleveland Clinic's existing cardiac network includes 25 hospitals.

 

3. The Cleveland Clinic's existing specialty cardiovascular network serves approximately 2 million employees and dependents across the country.

 

4. In the future, Boston Children’s and Cleveland Clinic intend to expand their services to include a number of other rare and complex pediatric conditions.
