Carolina Orthopaedics in Murrells Inlet, S.C., is offering its Medical Mentoring Program to local high school students for the second year.
Here are three highlights:
1. The program allows students to learn about careers in orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, orthopedic podiatry, general surgery and sports medicine.
2. In addition to surgery mentoring, students gain insight on athletic training, nursing, radiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy and anesthesiology.
3. Physicians participating in the mentorship program include Michael Bohan, MD; Edward Mikol, MD; Christopher Crosby, MD; Stephen Parker, MD; Brian Blair, MD; Andrew Putman, MD; and Todd Cook, MD.
