Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic teams with Orlando Magic on Habitat for Humanity build: 5 key notes

Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic, based in Orlando, teamed with the Orlando Magic to build a Habitat for Humanity house, according to Pure Magic.

 

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Jewett has partnered with the Orlando Magic for the past seven years on Habitat for Humanity initiatives. The families also invest 300 to 500 hours of "sweat equity" in the home building process.

 

2. Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic's providers are the official team physicians for the Orlando Magic team.

 

3. Opened more than 80 years ago, Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic now treats more than 200,000 patients per year.

 

4. Subspecialties at the practice include sports medicine, joint replacement, spine care, orthopedic trauma and general orthopedics. The practice also includes MAKOplasty robotic joint replacements.

 

5. The Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic physicians formed the Jewett Foundation, which generates donations for nonprofit organizations in central Florida.
