Medscape: One-third of dissatisfied orthopedists think they should make 11% to 25% more annually

Forty-eight percent of orthopedists reported they feel fairly compensated, according to Medscape's "Physician Compensation Report 2017," inclusive of more than 19,200 physicians in more than 27 specialties.

Medscape then asked the unsatisfied orthopedists how much more they think they should earn annually.

 

Here are their answers:

 

• One percent to 10 percent more — 4 percent of dissatisfied orthopedists


• Eleven percent to 25 percent more — 34 percent


• Twenty-six percent to 40 percent more — 27 percent


• Fifty-one percent to 75 percent more — 14 percent


• Seventy-six percent to 100 percent more — 7 percent


• One hundred one percent or more — 14 percent
