Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers, with locations in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati, is merging with Reconstructive Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, with locations in Ohio, on Aug. 1.
Here are five things to know:
1. The groups will collectively be known as OrthoCincy, serving the Greater Cincinnati and Tri-State area.
2. The merger will create the largest independent orthopedic practice in the area, with 10 locations and 27 physicians.
3. Additionally, 23 physician assistants and nurse practitioners as well as 350 employees will staff the practice.
4. The new group will have physicians on staff at the following hospitals:
• Bethesda North in Montgomery, Ohio
• Jewish Hospital in Kenwood, Ohio
• Mercy Hospital Fairfield (Ohio)
• Mercy Anderson in Cincinnati
• Mercy Clermont in Batavia, Ohio
• Mercy West in Cincinnati
• The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati
• TriHealth in Evendale, Ohio
• Bethesda Butler County in Hamilton, Ohio
• Cincinnati Children's
• St. Elizabeth Edgewood (Ky.)
• St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas (Ky.)
• St. Elizabeth Florence (Ky.) Hospitals
5. Commonwealth CEO JoAnn Reis and Reconstructive Executive Director George Nyktas will collaborate to create a new management group for OrthoCincy.
