According to a Kaiser Family Foundation poll covered in Axios, Americans across the spectrum agree prescription drug costs should be lowered.

2. Americans across the political spectrum believe lowering costs of prescriptions should be a top healthcare priority for the current administration and Congress:
- 64 percent of Democrats agree
- 58 percent of Independents agree
- 60 percent of Republicans agree
3. Americans favor most actions to lower drug prices:
- 92 percent support allowing the federal government to lower drug prices
- 87 percent want to make it easier to bring generic drugs to the market
- 86 percent wish drug companies were required to disclose how they set their prices
- 78 percent want to limit prices for high cost drugs
- 72 percent support allowing Americans to buy prescription drugs from Canada
4. Drug prices stand on a pedestal as a bipartisan priority, according to the poll's findings.
