Physicians across all specialties receive employer benefits including health insurance, professional liability coverage and paid time off. Here are 140 statistics on the percentage of physicians in 10 specialties that report receiving 14 different benefits based on the Medscape Physician Compensation Report 2017.

More than 19,200 physicians responded to Medscape's compensation survey. The survey gathered data from Dec. 20, 2016 to March 7, 2017.

 

Family physicians
1. Health insurance: 77 percent

3. Dental insurance: 64 percent
4. Paid time off: 66 percent
