Surgical Affiliates Management Group to provide orthopedic specialists for Memorial Hospital Los Banos: 5 key notes

Surgical hospitalist company Surgical Affiliates Management Group in Sacramento launched a program to provide acute care orthopedic surgicalist services at Sutter Health's Memorial Hospital Los Banos (Calif.).

Here are five key notes:

 

1. The orthopedic program's goal is to provide a team of orthopedic surgeons to care for the community at all times.

 

2. The specialists will provide care for orthopedic patients while at the hospital as well as those who arrive in the emergency department needing orthopedic services.

 

3. Pamela Mehta, MD, Surgical Affiliates' chief of orthopedic surgery will join Vincent Colin, MD, and Kerisimasi Reynolds, DO, as physicians for the program.

 

4. Surgical Affiliates' leadership model is based on expertise from surgeons and executives to build surgical teams that provide evidence-based care and collaborate with hospital staff to improve patient safety.

 

5. Memorial Hospital Los Banos is a 44-bed facility providing care to the rural San Joaquin Valley of Central California.
