Envision Healthcare Corp.'s physician services business completed an acquisition of a hospital-based radiology physician group in Florida.
Here are five things to know about the acquisition:
1. Envision acquired Sunshine Radiology, the exclusive radiology services provider to Adventist Health System's Florida Hospital West Region, which includes nine hospitals. Sunshine also provides services at an outpatient imaging center.
2. Sunshine Radiology employs 35 physicians.
3. Post-acquisition, Envision provides radiology services to 80 healthcare facilities, including more than 55 hospitals in Florida.
4. All together, Envision has more than 780 hospitals in 45 states as well as 260 surgery centers.
5. Envision facilities include gastroenterology, ophthalmology and orthopedics.
