Dr. John Polikandriotis takes the helm as CEO of Vail-Summit Orthopaedics

Vail (Colo.)-Summit Orthoapedics welcomed new CEO John Polikandriotis, PhD.

Mr. Polikandriotis took the CEO position in the fall of 2016 after earning an MBA in finance and healthcare administration and a master of public health degree. His previous positions include director of orthopedics and vice president of ambulatory operations at Children's Hospital of Atlanta.


He also spent six years working at Laser Spine Institute.


Vail-Summit Orthopaedics has provided orthopedic care for more than 35 years.


"After a national search, we are proud to welcome Dr. John Polikandriotis to our team," said William Sterett, a surgeon at VSO. "His extensive experience in the healthcare industry and fresh perspective will be a great asset to the practice. Our search committee was quite impressed with his breadth of knowledge and expertise, as well as his track record of working with people in healthcare.
