Practice Management

Medline, a medical supplies company headquartered in Mundelein, Ill., has offered Atlanta-based Northside Hospital customized supply chain solutions since 2013.

Here are five notes:

1. Impressed with solutions that have helped the hospital achieve clinical and financial goals, Northside Hospital signed a five-year distribution agreement extension with Medline.

2. Under the partnership, Medline offers 190 physician offices a portfolio of commodity products to improve patient-care solutions and cost savings.

3. This portfolio includes exam gloves, point-of-care tests and custom packs.

4. Medline also delivers monthly spending reports to track contract compliance and price accuracy.

5. The contract is through March 31, 2021.

"Medline's personalized customer service and third-party logistic capabilities enable us to drive costs down and streamline the process," said Kathy James, clinical supply chain manager, Northside Hospital. "Our physicians can focus on what matters the most — providing high-quality patient care."
