Four things to know:
1. Parkview Ortho Hospital and Parkview SurgeryONE — an outpatient surgery center — will both remain open in Fort Wayne.
2. Parkview is closing its other facilities as directed by Republican Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb. Inverness Surgery Center was closed March 17 and Parkview Premier Surgery closed March 18. Both are in Fort Wayne.
3. Parkview surgeons will still perform operations in cases where a delay could harm the patient’s health. Patients who move forward with medically necessary procedures will be screened before their procedure for symptoms of the coronavirus. They will be permitted to have no more than one healthy adult visitor.
4. Parkview will contact patients whose surgeries must be postponed. Patients should speak with their providers before canceling procedures voluntarily.
