Illinois hospital expands spine program — 4 things to know

Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Ill., established a new orthopedic spine program, reports Advantage News.

Four things to know:

1. Jonathan Workman, DO, joined the hospital July 22 and is leading the spine program.

2. The Spine Center at GRMC treats a variety of spine conditions including cervical and lumbar pathology, fractures, degeneration, deformity and scoliosis among others.

3. GRMC also added a bariatric program and aims to add two more programs before the end of the year.

4. The 343-bed hospital has more than 150 physicians on its medical staff.
