Illinois Bone & Joint Institute expands services with 3 new physicians

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute in Des Plaines welcomed three orthopedic surgeons to its practice Oct. 1.

Five things to know:

1. Harpreet Basran, MD, Justin Gent, MD, and Priyesh Patel, MD, began seeing patients at the clinic in McHenry, Ill.

2. Dr. Basran specializes in sports medicine and minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures, treating injuries in the shoulders, hips, knees and ankles.

3. Dr. Gent also specializes in sports medicine, focusing on open and arthroscopic complex knee and shoulder surgery, as well as patellar instability procedures.

4. Dr. Patel is a double board-certified orthopedic surgeon and specializes in hand and upper extremity, as well as microvascular surgery.

5. The physician-owned practice features over 100 physicians and opened its 25th location in Crystal Lake, Ill., earlier this year.
