1. The grant will be used to advance research in identifying the causes of various pediatric conditions such as autism and diabetes.
2. Researchers will analyze DNA sequencing data and will detail their findings with patients to determine how the information influences testing and treatment decisions.
3. Researchers will identify rare variants in 2,500 patients with pediatric conditions and will relay information to 160 patients and families to assess how possible financial, ethical and social factors influence their choices.
4. The program aims to gain a better sense of the genomic basis of disease and to match medical care to patients based on their genomic differences.
