How U.S. Orthopaedic Partners practices are growing

U.S. Orthopaedic Partners has completed six partnerships since its inception, and many of its practices have added surgeons and plan hires, according to a Jan. 12 news release.

Four things to know:

1. The Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Jackson has added two pain management specialists and a total joint surgeon in the last year. Plans to hire a spine surgeon in 2023 are in the works. The practice signed with USOP in October 2020 with 18 surgeons.

2. Oxford Orthopedics in Jackson partnered with USOP in February 2021 with three surgeons. The practice is projected to add a spine surgeon in 2022 and a total joint surgeon by 2023.

3. The Orthopedic Institute of Northern Mississippi in Tupelo partnered with USOP in June 2021 with six surgeons. In the last year, the practice added a hand surgeon and total joint surgeon.

4. Florence-based Northern Alabama Bone and Joint Surgeons joined USOP in July 2021 with seven surgeons. The practice is expected to add a pain management physician in 2022, and there are plans to add a spine surgeon in 2023.
