Most physician practices employ between one and five advanced practitioners (PAs or NPs), according to the 2016 Staff Salary Survey by Physician’s Practice.

•    One — 42.5 percent
•    Two to five — 39.5 percent
•    Six to 10 — 8.9 percent
•    11 to 20 — 4 percent
•    More than 20 — 5.1 percent

 

Note: The survey includes responses from 1,044 practices on the makeup and salaries of their staff.
