When asked whether they will continue to accept Medicare, respondents reported:
• We plan to continue accepting Medicare as always — 74.4 percent
• We may stop accepting new Medicare patients — 14.5 percent
• We are exploring new direct-pay models that would eliminate third-party payers from our practice — 6.6 percent
• We may stop seeing/accepting Medicare patients altogether — 4.5 percent
