How happy are physicians? 10 statistics

As part of the Physicians Practice’s 2014 Great American Physician Survey, physicians were asked to characterize how happy they are, on a scale of one to 10 with 10 being the happiest. Respondents reported the following:

•    1 — 1.3 percent
•    2 — 2 percent
•    3 — 4.7 percent
•    4 — 4.7 percent
•    5 — 7.6 percent
•    6 — 10.4 percent
•    7 — 18.2 percent
•    8 — 25.9 percent
•    9 — 17 percent
•    10 — 8.2 percent

 

The survey includes responses from 1,311 physicians.
