Good Samaritan Hospital embarks on $9M upgrade of orthopedic surgery & bariatric units: 3 notes

Suffern, N.Y.-based Good Samaritan Hospital broke ground on a $9 million upgrade of its bariatric and orthopedic surgery units.

Here are three things to know:

1. The 10,000-square-foot orthopedic unit renovation will increase the number of patient recovery rooms to 14 private rooms.

2. The refurbished orthopedic space will also include a multi-purpose room, a physical and occupational therapy gym, a mileage-marked walking track and a family waiting area.

3. The upgrades are expected to be complete in spring 2019.
