The Healthplex has undergone an expansion of the pediatric department and the orthopedics department.

The 20,000-square-foot expansion aims to reduce patient wait times and provide additional employment opportunities for physicians and other staff members.

The expanded orthopedics department now has 41 exam rooms, tripling its capacity for patients.

It will offer comprehensive orthopedic care services, including spinal care and surgery, total and partial joint surgery, surgical and nonsurgical sports medicine services, and podiatry, as well as a Mako robotic arm.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
