Forrest Health Orthopedic Institute breaks ground on expansion

Hattiesburg, Miss.-based The Orthopedic Institute at Forrest Health broke ground on a facility expansion, according to a Feb. 27 report from CBS affiliate 12 News.

The expansion will add 12,000 square feet to the institute and will add six operating rooms. In addition, support and sterilization spaces will be expanded. 

Forrest Health opened the orthopedic center 12 years ago, which has now reached capacity and has seen increased demand. 

The Orthopedic Institute provides orthopedic services including knee and hip replacements, hand and microvascular surgery, spinal surgery and sports medicine procedures, according to its website.
