Former Sarasota Orthopedic Associates CEO named president of Pain Specialists of America

Austin, Texas-based Pain Specialists of America, a practice management company, has appointed Doug Badertscher president and COO, according to a July 27 news release.

Mr. Badertscher joins from Sarasota (Fla.) Orthopedic Associates, where he operated as CEO for more than nine years.

He was brought on board to help Pain Specialists of America expand into other states. Currently, it provides practice management services to 19 interventional pain clinics, two ASCs, two urine toxicology labs and a compounding pharmacy.

Mr. Badertscher has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including senior vice president of Signet Diagnostic Imaging Services and CEO of Midtown Imaging.
