Fondren Orthopedic Group names new CEO: 5 key notes

Houston-based Fondren Orthopedic Group named a new CEO, according to Chron.com.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Ms. Pierce joined the practice in 1989 as CFO and became administrator four years later.

 

2. During her tenure with the group, Ms. Pierce was instrumental in creating Texas Orthopedic Hospital, opened in 1995, which remains among the few orthopedic specialty hospitals in the U.S.

 

3. Ms. Pierce is a fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives and contributed to several articles published on the business of medicine.

 

4. Before joining Fondren Orthopedic Group, Ms. Pierce spent 10 years in public accounting at Houston Certified Public Accounting.

 

5. In her new role, Ms. Pierce will oversee the practice’s 14 locations.
