Florida orthopedic group to add spine surgery

Atlantis Orthopaedics, with locations in Palm Beach Gardens and Lake Worth, Fla., aims to expand with new locations and by adding spine care to its list of services, South Florida Hospital News reported Feb. 16.

This year, Atlantis Orthopaedics, part of HCA Healthcare’s East Florida Division, plans to open locations in Boynton Beach, Royal Palm Beach, Margate and Davie, Fla.

In the past four months, the practice added two surgeons: Mamun Al Rashid, MD, a total joint and orthopedic oncology specialist, and Vani Sabesan, MD, a shoulder and elbow surgery specialist.

The additions increased the number of physicians at Atlantis Orthopaedics to eight.
