Tampa-based Florida Orthopaedic Institute hired Joseph Gordon as CEO.

Here are three things to know:

1. Prior to joining FOI, Mr. Gordon served as senior vice president and chief strategy officer for the Novi, Mich.-based General Medicine, a post-hospitalist care company operating in 13 states.

2. Mr. Gordon has over 30 years of senior-level operations and business development experience across the healthcare industry.

3. FOI encompasses 10 offices, 19 regional hospitals, two surgery centers and 40 physicians.
