The facility also added 34 cardiac suites, bringing its number of inpatient beds to 178, with plans to add 34 more in the fall.

The hospital fast-tracked its expansion plan after the neighboring hospital, Shore Point Health Venice, closed abruptly in September 2022.

As part of the expansion, Sarasota Memorial has also added more than 200 new hires in recent months, according to the report.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
