Essentia Health will break ground on an orthopedic center in Baxter, Minn., on May 13.

The 60,000-square-foot facility will offer orthopedic surgery consultations, podiatry, rheumatology, endocrinology, interventional pain care, sports medicine and diagnostic imaging, according to a May 9 press release.

It will house 72 exam rooms, six procedure rooms, a rehabilitation gym, orthopedic urgent care, Baxter’s first drive-through pharmacy and expanded spine services. Initially, just 40,000 square feet of the facility will be in use.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
