Dr. Stephen Holtzclaw named CEO of USOP

U.S. Orthopaedic Partners named Stephen Holtzclaw, MD, as its new CEO.

Dr. Holtzclaw worked as CEO of Alteon Health, a physician-led acute care medical group, according to a Jan. 10 news release from USOP. He was also president of hospital-based services for TeamHealth. 

“Joining U.S. Orthopaedic Partners is an incredible opportunity to lead a dynamic team of acclaimed surgeons dedicated to delivering exceptional orthopaedic care,” Dr. Holtzclaw said in the release. “I’m excited to build upon the foundation laid by the team and further enhance our commitment to patient-centric excellence.”

He earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland in College Park, and he completed an emergency medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
