Dr. James Andrews to be inducted into business hall of fame: 3 takeaways

James Andrews, MD, is one of six honorees who will be inducted into the Alabama Business Hall of Fame at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, reports the Ledger-Enquirer.

Here are three takeaways:

 

1. Dr. Andrews is being honored as one of the founders of Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Birmingham, Ala., and co-founder of the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala.

 

2. Previously practicing at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Ga., Dr. Andrews is the team doctor for the Auburn (Ala.) University football team.

 

3. Additional inductees include Bill Battle, founder of Collegiate Licensing Company; Dorothy Davidson, CEO of Davidson Technologies; Charles Adair, president of Kowaliga Capital; John D. Johns, chairman of Protective Life and Don Logan; CEO of Time and chairman of Time Warner Media and Communications.
