An orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Anderson was a part of Nashville-based Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance. He specialized in sports medicine, with an interest in knee injury and ligament reconstruction.
Dr. Anderson was a past president of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He previously served as associate editor of Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine and The American Journal of Sports Medicine.
He held a patent for a pediatric ACL reconstruction system he invented and wrote 101 manuscript journals and 26 book chapters. Dr. Anderson completed his orthopedics residency at Nashville-based Vanderbilt University.
