Three details:
1. The $200 million expansion will house Beebe’s new robotic surgery program and will cater to the women and infants unit later.
2. The hospital will perform several types of surgeries including orthopedics, general surgery, urology and gynecologic procedures.
3. The four-story specialty surgical hospital is set to open in July 2022.
“The difference between some of these minimally invasive surgeries and the older surgeries, the older technology can mean the difference of eight days in the hospital and so it makes a big difference to the quality of life of people,” said Beebe Chairman of the Board Dave Herbert.
