Here are five highlights:
1. The $5 million facility, called the CORE Center, is intended to double the region’s orthopedic and chiropractic patient capacity.
2. CORE stands for “chiropractic, orthopedic, rehabilitation excellence.”
3. The more than 18,000-square-foot facility houses a rehabilitation pool, underwater treadmill and X-ray imaging.
4. The Daviess County Economic Development Foundation, the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, the city of Washington and private donations helped pay for the new center.
5. Washington Mayor Joe Wellman and Congressman Larry Bucshon’s representatives will stand alongside hospital officials during the ceremony.
