Construction begins for orthopedic ASC in North Carolina

Pinehurst Surgical Clinic and FirstHealth of the Carolinas have broken ground on an orthopedic surgery center in Southern Pines, N.C., The Pilot reported Jan. 27.

Pinehurst Surgical will relocate all orthopedic services to the 24,000-square-foot facility. Inpatient procedures will be performed at FirstHealth’s Moore Regional Hospital.

The center is expected to employ 30 full-time staff members, with a completion date targeted for late 2025 or spring 2026.
