Compensation Rose 8% in 2010 for Orthopedic Surgeons, Neurosurgeons

Orthopedic and neurosurgeons average salary rose by 8 percent in 2010, according to a Poughkeepsie Journal report.

Orthopedic surgeons received an average salary of $373,847 last year, while neurosurgeons received an average salary of $503,326, according to cbsalary.com. General surgeon’s compensation also grew by about 8.02 percent last year, reaching $342,971.
