Here are five notes:
1. The four-year overhaul bore a price tag of $20 million, expanding the surgery department on the hospital’s main floor.
2. The project enhanced four operating rooms with two da Vinci Si Surgical Systems and four operating suites for neurosurgery, spine surgery and orthopedic procedures.
3. The project also remodeled the surgical admission and post-anesthesia units.
4. The renovation also saw a hybrid surgical suite for traditional and minimally invasive open-chest heart procedures.
5. With the project’s completion, the surgery department now houses 27 surgical beds and 16 post-anesthesia care unit beds.
