Intracept is an outpatient procedure that targets a nerve in the bone of the spine, disabling it to reduce pain, according to a June 22 news release. Richard Bundschu, MD, is trained to perform the 60- to 90-minute procedure at Coastal Orthopedics.

“This new procedure has almost immediate and lasting results for patients who have dealt with long-term pain and will help change many lives for the better,” Dr. Bundschu said in the release.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
