Here are five things to know about the app.
1. Since its launch in May, Casetabs has supported 1,000 cases each week for its subscribing centers.
2. The app has a central hub used for sharing case information and has real-time updates available for users.
3. Each surgery on the app has a specific “case team” that can access and share pertinent information such as case and product status updates, images and case details. The team generally consists of nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists, office staff, technicians and vendor reps.
4. Evolution Capital management, a global invest firm, and other partners have invested $1.7 million in the app.
5. The app has received positive feedback from users who find the app extremely resourceful. One surgery administrator commented, “Casetabs really helps with our inter-department communication. Today, our staff, physicians, and vendor reps all use Casetabs to communicate in a unified manner.”
