California spine center pivots to telemedicine

The Spine and Orthopedic Center in Santa Barbara, Calif., is using telemedicine to continue seeing patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Santa Barbara News-Press reports.

What you should know:

1. The clinic is offering same-day telemedicine appointments through platforms like FaceTime and Zoom.

2. The clinic will also see patients in person if the situation dictates it.

3. The clinic averages around 50 patients a day.

4. The Spine and Orthopedic Center can also perform certain surgical procedures at an ASC in Santa Barbara.
