California neuroscience institute opens lab focusing on spine, neuro surgical skills

Santa Monica, Calif.-based Pacific Neuroscience Institute recently partnered with John Wayne Cancer Institute to open a neuroanatomy and surgical skills laboratory.

Three things to know:

1. The 1,000-square-foot facility facilitates surgical training across various specialties, including spine, orthopedic and neurosurgery.

2. Led by neurosurgeon Garni Barkhoudarian, MD, the lab aims to educate clinical fellows, advance surgical approaches and develop new surgical products.

3. The lab is at JWCI at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica.
