Average PA Salary: 5 Statistics

Most physician assistants earn between $80,000 and $100,000 on average, according to Medscape’s Clinical & Office Staff Salary Report.

Physicians were surveyed for the report, and 85 percent of them were office-based. Most of them were owners and partners.

 

Here are five statistics on average salary for PAs:

 

•    Less than $30,000 — Less than 5 percent
•    Between $30,000 and $60,000 — Between 10 and 15 percent
•    Between $60,000 and $80,000 — Between 25 and 30 percent
•    Between $80,000 and $100,000 — Almost 40 percent
•    More than $100,000 — Between 15 and 20 percent
